Privacy Policy

Last updated July 22, 2026.

meerbe stores the information needed to run your beer log: your email address, display name, password hash, session records, beer check-ins, ratings, notes, locations you enter, import data you upload, and account settings.

Public Check-Ins

New accounts share recent check-ins publicly by default. Public check-ins may show your display name, beer name, brewery, style, and rating. Dates and times are not shown in the public feed. You can turn public sharing off in Account Settings.

Email and Account Security

meerbe uses your email address for account verification and password reset messages. Passwords are never stored as plain text. Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies.

Imports and Exports

When you import a meerbe or Untappd JSON file, the imported check-ins are saved to your account. You can download your beer log from Account Settings.

Deleting Your Data

You can permanently delete your account from Account Settings after entering your current password. Deleting your account removes your account and beer log.
